For a continuous training of the performer and a school for the spectator : we believe in the emancipating effect of dance. Whether it is a question of familiarizing oneself through dance, discovering an artistic practice or honing one’s skills as a performer, the art of choreography is an art that forces us to look back at ourselves, to go beyond ourselves, and it constantly activates our primary link to the other.
\nIn order to carry out these movements of transformation further on, we like to integrate training and artistic actions into our creative process and our choreographic research.<\/p>\n

The forms of these encounters are multiple, and are constantly reinvented according to the complicity and context of our partnered theaters or training institutions\/structures. With this sincere desire we participate in the sensitive opening and the curiosity of the spectator-dancers, amateurs or apprentices, of today and tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Setting up unique encounters, cultivating curiosity for other aesthetics, and communicating their passion for dance to all audiences, initiated and uninitiated alike, are indeed the foundation of the choreographers’ investment.
\nThe presentation of the company’s creations is always an opportunity to reach out to the public, through various forms of artistic action. The company’s ambition is to develop a dynamic around its artistic project and the pieces it presents.
\nThe choreographers are particularly keen to embed this approach in a local area, within the framework of long-term residencies, enabling them to establish a close and lasting relationship with local residents (see partners page).<\/p>\n

These encounters are conceived and created in a variety of forms, and take place in different exhibition contexts: the usual proposals for choreographic workshops or stage-side sessions rub shoulders with more unexpected encounters, very often set up with the complicity of partner theaters.<\/p>\n

ON ALL TERRAINS<\/strong>
\nFor several years now, Christian and Fran\u00e7ois BEN A\u00cfM have been putting their choreographic writing to the test in space through their site-specific work, exploring the poetic dialogue of dance with the outside world and everyday life. In this very direct exchange with the present moment, these pieces and performances open breaches in reality to enrich possible perceptions.<\/p>\n

They take place in ordinary or unusual places, capturing the audience and sharpening their perceptions of our surroundings. Renewing the experience of being a spectator, but more often than not initiating it and making it a simple and memorable first time, these proposals contribute to the desire to spread dance beyond the usual circles.<\/p>\n

SOME RECENT MISSIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

SOME EXAMPLES OF PUBLIC\/ATTYPICAL SPACES – In parks and gardens, in front of exhibitions and in museums, in people’s homes “Danse en appartement”, but also in women’s homes and prisons, with pieces that also offer “hors les murs” formats, such as Bird!, the series of female solos Instantan\u00e9s or Marche Rond, Tourne Droit!<\/span><\/p>\n

AMATEURS ET AMATRICES – Numerous initiatives are organized for amateurs, notably in conjunction with artistic education establishments, ranging from simple discovery workshops to re-creations of repertory pieces.<\/span><\/p>\n

SCHOOL – PRIMARY SCHOOL, COLLEGE, LYCEE, UNIVERSITY – One or more choreographic workshops can be held by the company in schools in conjunction with a performance. While Mirages – Les \u00e2mes bor\u00e9ales and La For\u00eat \u00e9bouriff\u00e9e, pieces for all ages from 5 upwards, mainly work with elementary school and families, other pieces such as FAC\u00c9TIES lead to solid partnerships with high schools, colleges and advanced\u2e31e\u2e31s amateur groups. The choreographers also lecture at masters and other levels (arts, sociology, human sciences) on themes close to their hearts and the specificities of their artistic approach.<\/span><\/p>\n

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING<\/strong><\/p>\n

In conjunction with our touring productions, we organize numerous training courses, masterclasses, workshops and research laboratories each season for professionals and choreographic artists in the process of professionalizing their skills.<\/p>\n

Training courses and creative projects are developed on a season-by-season basis, in conjunction with partner theaters and various institutions: CNDC, rectorats, art and performing arts schools such as ESAD and Acad\u00e9mie Fratellini, conservatoires and other dance centers such as Micadanses.<\/p>\n

TiLT! – Transmission project by Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Br\u00e9tigny – Sc\u00e8ne conventionn\u00e9 art et humanit\u00e9s, with the Conservatoire de Sainte-Genevi\u00e8ve-des-Bois, Studio Jazz de Morsang-sur-Orge, EMMD – \u00c9cole Municipale de Musique et de Danse Michel Legrand au Plessis-P\u00e2t\u00e9, and \u00c9cole des Arts de Marcoussis, with support from the Conseil d\u00e9partemental de l’Essonne.
\nCreated with some forty amateur performers
