The first rehearsals for TENDER ANGER<\/strong><\/i><\/a> are approaching!
\nLa Briqueterie CDCN du Val-de-Marne will be the first of our partners to welcome the company in December, to open this long-term project, leading up to the premiere in January 2025.<\/p>\n

TEN HIGH-CALIBRE PERFORMERS!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The TENDER \u00a0ANGER<\/strong><\/i> team is now complete! Five new dancers join the company: Jamil Attar, Rosanne Briens, Andr\u00e9a Givanovitch, Nikita Goile and J\u00e9r\u00e9my Kouyoumdjian. They complete the cast already comprising Johan Bichot, Chiara Corbetta, Marie L\u00e9v\u00e9nez and Emilio Urbina, performers from ALL IN JEST<\/i>, and Alex Blondeau, soloist in the third instalment of the Snapshots<\/i> series.<\/p>\n

Intense, skin-deep performers with rich, singular backgrounds, ready and willing to go through the shattering states of this “tender anger” and discover how, from “outside oneself”, another way of living together is reinvented.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]

CREATION TIME<\/strong><\/p>\n

The creative process for this ambitious project will take place over ten weeks of rehearsals, spread between December 2023 and January 2025.<\/p>\n

Several venues will host creative residencies, including La Briqueterie CDCN du Val-de-Marne, CN D – Centre national de la danse, Le CENTQUATRE-PARIS, La Maison \/ Nevers – Sc\u00e8ne conventionn\u00e9e Art en territoire, Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Suresnes Jean Vilar, l’Orange Bleue d’Eaubonne…<\/p>\n

The premieres will take place from January 10 to 12, 2025, at the opening of the Suresnes Cit\u00e9s Danse Festival!<\/p>\n

TENDER ANGER<\/strong><\/i> is based on the experience of a void, a point where willpower wavers and control is lost. Part of a cycle of research of “intranquillity<\/strong>” begun with the previous piece All in jest<\/i>, and with the notion of “outside oneself<\/strong>” as its central focus, this creation questions those suspended times when human beings may feel they have stepped outside themselves and are no longer themselves. The writing will carry this questioning through the bodies in the opposing forms of abandonment (ecstasy, drunkenness, trance…) and rage (anger, rage, fury…).<\/p>\n

For us, “outside oneself<\/strong>” also designates the state, the place of sensitivity, of relationship to oneself, from which an “ethic of renunciation<\/strong>” can be experienced at different levels. This attitude favors non-doing, withdrawal and abandonment in the face of injunction, or Bartleby’s “I’d rather not”.<\/i><\/p>\n

The “outside of oneself” thus appears to be the playground for exploration, where we can renounce our self-image, measure and action. We will seek to transpose these marks of rupture and deviation into our choreographic writing, drawing on the following principles and notions: the incongruous, absurd and strange body; organicity; animality; the interweaving of bodies; the sharing of a common rhythm and pulse; the figure of murmuration.<\/i><\/p>\n
