Brûlent nos coeurs insoumis (Burn, rebellious hearts), Le Monde

The new piece by the choreographic duo is on the bill at Les Hivernales festival on 21 February.
Four men grappling with darkness, the unconscious, the set paths of habit and destiny. It is dark on the stage of Brûlent nos cœurs insoumis, a new piece by the choreographic duo Christian and François Ben Aïm. It is dark but the rage sees red. On the announced themes of fraternity and insubordination, the Ben Aïms, who collaborated for the first time with the trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf, tightened the bolts of a family huis clos flirting with the tribal, with liberating swerves and nervous resumptions of authority. The album’s images crack, the locks are broken, the rebellion rises.
